It’s Canstruction Time

It’s that time of year again when engineering offices and universities around the globe are purchasing cans in bulk in order to compete in Canstruction 2016. With the goal of adding more trophies to our display cabinet and defending our title of “Best Meal” for our submission “CAN You Help Bridge the Gap”, “Team Stephenson” has been meeting regularly to brainstorm different ideas and beta test innovative shapes and designs created primarily with cans. To ensure that we secure another win, Team Captain and Stephenson Engineering’s Junior Designer/ Can Guru Phelan Cullen have been running the team through their paces. Part of the development this year includes BIM Modeler Roman Sevostianov drafting the project using BIM. Team building aside, the real purpose of Canstruction is to raise awareness for The Daily Bread Food Bank. The can sculptures will be displayed from May 17 to 20that the TD Centre in downtown Toronto after which all cans will be donated to the Daily Bread Food Bank.
