Trent University DNA Cluster Buildings C & D

This new laboratory and research facility expansion is part of Trent’s growth strategy as a globally recognized leader in wildlife DNA profiling.

Module C is home to the Trent-Fleming nursing program, a collaborative partnership between Trent University, Fleming College and local community colleges. This two-storey 23,000 square foot addition includes wet and dry research labs, instructional and computer labs, walk-in temperature control rooms and administrative areas.

Module D, a 50,000 square foot two-storey LEED Gold certified facility includes wet and dry research labs, instructional labs, walk-in temperature control rooms, student lounge, and other administrative and support functions. The project also includes approximately 8,500 square feet of animal care facilities, studying wildlife DNA sequencing as well as researching emerging disease relationships between human and animals.

These expansions, completed within an aggressive construction schedule, are part of Trent University’s environmental initiatives.
